Seize the Canvas

Hi! Welcome to “The Canvas.” As the reader, you must be wondering what “The Canvas,” is all about. Allow me to briefly explain. A canvas is a piece of cloth that artists use to paint on usually with oil paint. It is a surface for paintings. Now look at it in this way. Imagine God gave each of us a canvas. What would it look like? What would we paint? Would what we have had painted left a painting that inspires others to live purposefully?

A canvas is exactly what God has given each and everyone of us. The canvas is your life; He left the paintbrush in your very hand. The paintbrush is free will. Being image bearers means our paintings will be reflections of our God given purposes only when we dip our paintbrushes in His grace filled paint. The painting process can not be rushed. The artist takes their time to plan. The focus on painting a noble painting shouldn’t stop the painter from enjoying and celebrating the joys of life. Nobody said being focused means walking around with a straight face. “A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance,

But by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.” (Proverbs 15:13)

From the time we are born, to the time we die, we all paint life’s memorable potrait. The canvas(life) is complicated. It isn’t simple. It is a mixture of joy and sorrow. Others say it is short while others still wrestle with its true purpose. One thing is certain for everybody; everybody dies when it is their time. That sounds like an echo of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 which contains a series of verses on different seasons showing us that everything has its time (in contrast fashion).
Remember every canvas we see around us is precious. Every life is God given meaning everyone is made in the image of God.

My fellow brothers and sisters,I urge you to put your talents and gifts to work. Do not settle for comfort or passivity. Convince yourself that creativity has no limit, and watch your mind spread its wings.

Expect a variety of topics including what I have learnt in my own personal life. Expect content pertaining to Christ and the canvas(life)

You wield the paintbrush. Seize the canvas.
